Current guidelines for those attending Campbeltown Free Church

We are glad to being back worshipping in the church again. We are required to follow the current guidelines from the Government and our denomination, The Free Church of Scotland.

This will mean the following:

  • Please do not come if you have any Covid-19 symptoms or are required to self isloate.

  • Physical distancing of 2 metres must be adhered to at all times, except from those in your own household.

  • You will be required to wear a face covering at all times within the church building unless you are exempt.

  • A face shield is not considered to be a face covering.

  • The church Bibles will not be available. The Bible readings will be displayed on the screen and you may bring your own Bible if you wish.

  • We will use recorded praise, but there will be no congregational singing.

  • Tea and coffee will NOT be provided, and the kitchen area is out of bounds. If you are likely to need a drink of water, please bring some with you.

  • Toilet facilities will be available. However, to minimise the use of the toilets in our building, please use your own facilities at home prior to coming to church. Please practise good hand hygiene - wash for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, dry with paper towel and use the sanitiser provided on entering the sanctuary.

Procedure before and after the service:

  • Please aim to arrive at the church at least 10 minutes before the start of the service.

  • Entrance will be at the side door only.

  • Make sure you have your face covering on before entering.

  • You will be welcomed at the door and directed to the hand sanitising station.

  • You will be then shown to your seat.

  • Please stay in your allocated seat throughout the service.

  • After the service, please observe the 2 metre distancing rule as you leave the church premises.

Register of those who attend

  • We seek your consent to keep a temporary record of your name and contact details. This is in line with the Government’s Test and Protect requirements.

  • We will keep the record for 21 days and only share your data if it is requested to assist with the NHS Scotland Test and Protect service. Please let us know if you do not wish to give your consent. Your data will not be used for any other purpose and you may withdraw your consent at any time.

For more details, please read our Privacy Notice.  (A copy is also displayed in the church building.)
